2003 - the Hartman receives AIA awardAmerican Institute of Architecture Columbus awards the Jonathon Barnes for the design of a Hartman’s ultra modern glass stair tower rear addition on the west side (rear) of the Hartman building. Bringing the Hartman building inline with current codes a century after it was built proved to be a challenge due ironically to the fact the building was built with such high quality standards. Barnes contemporary rear glass stair tower has now become a standard retrofit solution for developers who take on the redevelopment of a historic building. |
